Serves 2
Ingredients
- 4 slices of bread
- Butter
- 4 eggs
- Cheese, if desired
- Salt and pepper
Instructions
- Butter both sides of bread
- Find a small glass, small ramekin, cookie cutter, or 1/2-cup measuring cup, etc. that you can use to cut circle out in middle of bread
- Press into middle of bread to make , make sure to leave enough bread edges so it stays together
- Place the bread slices into a large skillet and add a small amount of butter in each hole
- Turn stove to medium and melt butter
- Once butter is melted, crack 1 egg into the hole of each bread slice, or pour in a scrambled eggs
- Cook on medium until egg whites are no longer opaque
- Flip and cook until desired doneness
- Toast the bread circles and serve on side, if desired
- Top with cheese, salt, and pepper as desired
