I’ve had two large red potatoes sitting on my counter for several days and I knew I needed to cook them. I thought about just cutting them up and roasting them like I usually do but then I remembered I had a fry cutter in the far back of some cabinet. Finally, it was this fry cutters time to shine. We received this Perfect Fries cutter for a Christmas gift several years ago. We never used it. It was one of those things “oh that’s a cool contraption,” but in my mind, I knew it’ll just collect dust in the back of a cabinet somewhere. After seeing how easy it made cutting fries and making this delicious recipe, I don’t think this fry cutter will ever find itself in the back of the cabinet again. IT’S SO AWESOME!
ingredients:
- 2 potatoes
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 tablespoon rosemary
- 1 tablespoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
instructions:
- preheat oven to 350F
- wash the potatoes
- peel the potatoes; I left some of the skin on
- cut the potatoes into fries with either a fry cutter or a knife
- take a paper towel and make sure the fries are really dry
- if they have water on them they won’t get as crispy
- in a mixing bowl, combine the fries, olive oil, rosemary, garlic, and salt; toss until the fries are well coated
- lay on baking sheet; make sure they are all spaced out and not stacked on top of each other
- bake for 25 minutes
- broil on high for 3-5 minutes until they reach your desired crispiness!
ENJOY!
